Rain barrel auction to benefit farmers
This Friday, Raleigh's Whole Foods Market is hosting a silent auction of nine rain barrels painted by local artists to raise money for an emergency farm assistance fund. The 30-gallon barrels will be auctioned off during a wine and cheese reception, with live music by The Paul Bomar Trio. The event begins at 6 p.m. at 3540 Wade Ave. The barrel pictured here will be among those up for bid.

Hi Sue
I think it's great that groups are getting invovled with helping to raise money for good causes while also doing your part in the whole green movement by incorporating art with the rainbarrels. Projects like this will hopefully encourage others to use collection systems like these. I would love to send you some information that I have on them, but I had problems sending to your email address. Is there a way you could give that to me, if it has changed?
